Prof. Susumu KINOSHITA（Specially Appointed）〔Koyama Lab〕
I have been assigned to a Specially Appointed Professor of the Institute of Innovative Research since January 1, 2020. After graduating from the graduate school of Tokyo Institute of Technology about 33 years ago, I joined the Precision and Intelligence Laboratory as a Research Associate, where I devoted myself to R&D for VCSELs (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers). After working in the PI Laboratory for 2 years, I joined an IT company where I was engaged in research and development of optical communications, especially optical amplifiers for over 30 years. Now I am very excited to get involved in the research and development for VCSELs again. I would like to contribute to Tokyo Tech and our society by making good use of obtained experience and knowledge through my career.
