The first message

Assoc. Prof. Koshiro NISHIMURA（Urban Disaster Prevention Research Core）

I have started for a new post of an Associate Professor in FIRST on April 2018. I graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1997, and received a Doctor’s degree of Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2001. I worked as a research associate and later an assistant professor in Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2011. From 2011 to 2018, I have been an associate professor in Hokkaido University. My research interests are design and behavior of building structures, earthquake engineering, impact loading on structures, and so forth. I have a professional career of seventeen years mainly in experimental study. I am glad to work in Tokyo Tech and welcome collaboration with all of you.
