Asst. Prof. Yosuke Mizuno, Nakamura Laboratory, FIRST, IIR, received the Optics Paper Award 2017 from the Optical Society of (OSJ) for his paper: Y. Mizuno, N. Hayashi, H. Fukuda, K. Y. Song, and K. Nakamura, “Ultrahigh-speed distributed Brillouin reflectometry,” Light: Science & Applications, vol. 5, e16184 (2016).
The awarding ceremony and the memorial presentation were given at Optics & Photonics Japan 2017, which was held at the University of Tsukuba, Tokyo Campus, from October 30 to November 2.
