Honorary Members of the IEICE are individuals who have made special contributions to the study, technology, or related activities of electronics and information communications, and who have been nominated by a resolution of the Board of Directors.
There are 106 honorary members out of 23,182 members. Among them are many people related to the University, such as Yasuharu Suematsu, former President of the University, who was awarded the Order of Culture in 2015, and Kenichi Iga, former President of the University, who was honored with the Order of Cultural Merit in 2022.
